The terrible idea that the addition of introduction pages to a website makes it appear more grand and aesthetically pleasing is one which continues to stick in the minds of website designers when wanting to create a site which will appear more prestigious and advanced than the rest. Introduction pages, in my personal opinion, are a waste; and what is really the reason for their existence? Many times I have come across an introduction page, just to immediately click the “skip intro” button. Introduction pages do not make a website appear more elitest in the minds of the Internet user, as so many websites now have them, and they really are annoying. All you want to do when browsing a website is get to the main page with all the vital information, but no, you first have to wait a couple of minutes for the introduction page to load. Get rid of your introduction pages, they are annoying.
